I am very new to CAD software. What is the best way that I can practice and learn how to use the software(I.e. inventor)? I've started to use youtube, but I'm not aware of any other resources available. Thanks!

I can help with Inventor, because this software is speciality of my department in my university. If you you learn Inventor, I don't know the course, wich will be betterm than this: http://www.autodesk.ru/adsk/servlet/item?id=18257373&siteID=871736 But this is russian language, I'm sorry, but may be if you see this, you will find s-th like this on english.. I'm try, but havn't any good results..

There are some great ways to learn about Inventor from the Autodesk wiki pages, they usually have videos, demos, and explainations to everything, so anytime you are in the software and are stuck, if you hover over something sometimes you can click F1 to open the help wiki pages :) Also youtube has some great videos for learning specific things. I found Thom Tremblays book great and always recommend it to my friends when learning Autodesk Inventor basics: http://www.amazon.com/Autodesk-Inventor-2013-LT-Essentials/dp/1118244796

The best way to learn CAD software, whatever it is Inventor, Catia, Solidworks, Pro/ENGINEER, T-Flex you name it, is to do one complex project in it. That simply makes you to learn this stuff and you have no excuses. If you want to learn Inventor, then Autodesk wiki, and search Thom Tremblay youtube channel and his Inventor Essentials videos. If you want to learn CATIA, Solidworks or Siemens NX, then I can recommend you this site: http://www.wingspansonsham.com

This site blocks the name of the site, cause it looks like swearwords in English :). http://www.d i c k s o n s h a m.com/front.html with no spaces

LOL! That is funny!

Is it available on the Mac? I want to use it, but could not find a mac version to download for free.

Also, check out Rob Cohee on YouTube - he has some amazing Inventor tutorials on there - especially if you're interested in the frame generator.

Hi I noticed you asked a question about AutoCad. Could you help this other user who has posted a similar question? You will get medals and will level up this way.
