My japan classes were long ago and i was just going to be with a girl sooo

but religion in europe was everything - the pope appointed kings (and vice-versa) religion built the cathedrals, drove industry in the monasteries, schools were also housed in the monasteries  the reason to learn to read and write was mostly for religious reasons.  Wars were fought over religion.  economics?  Maybe discuss the growth of cities around trade routes - London on the Thames, Paris on that river in Paris, the reason that the renaissance was centered in venice (which is kind of the end the medieval period I know) but was because venice was such a center of trade.

and Japan...too much of that would be me makin stuff up so I'm afraid can't help with that - but wan't Japan kind of isolated during the medieval period so limited trade (or did the isolation come later? sorry - I just don't remember my Japan stuff)

Im not 100% sure if im talking about the right time period but this is what i remember from world history
they prayed to their ancestors and believed in bringing honor to their family. i bet christians were trying to reach out to them and get them 2 change there mind and that might of caused tention.
