In writing a critical review of a novel, the writer should choose as his subject _____. retelling the plot why he personally likes or dislikes the novel an approach that can be declared in one sentence
retelling the plot, I believe. Because, when you are being a critic to a work, you need to give an in-depth analysis of the same. That, and don't you feel you have wrongly posted this question in the math section?
A critic usually speak the mass approach, thus personal view cannot be given preference.
