Is Zinc compatable with all other elements?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would have to say no, strictly because zinc is somtimes used as a reactant in chemical reaction experiments.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, it would more than likely remain isolated?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Remain isolated when and during what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In no particular situation, I was just seeing if Zinc, which I assume is a solid, would be able to be mixed in some sort of solution. But, it is a metal.. I don't know, chemistry doesn't seem to be my forte'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To be entirely honest, i dont know if zinc can be dissolved into a solution, such as dissolving salt into water. and yes zinc is a metal and a solid. but its most commonly in powder form.

Alright, from here I'll do some Google surfing, but I appreciate the help, mate.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your welcome, any time. and good luck with the surfing =D

lol hah

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im actually looking for chemistry answers myself. but everything at school is blocked ):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same here. Good Answer sites such as Weegy and Chacha are blocked, very nonhelpful.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just found one. go to asktastic. its not blocked here at least.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

compatible? lol were not talking about computers or software here. if you put solid Zn into water it'll turn into Zn(OH)2 which has a very small Ksp, so it will precipitate, so no it won't dissolve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq thats what i was looking for when i was answering. thanks. lol

OpenStudy (aaronq):

lol no prob

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awesome.
