How many solutions over the complex number system does this polynominal have? 3x^6-x^3-4x^2+3x+52=0 Answer as an integer.

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

you learnt descartes' rule of signs ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, im taking an online class and i dont understand what im even looking for.

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

hmm,not too sure how to explain this to you then.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok....

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Hello, @TinyTasha what's up? In spite of the word "Complex" being in your question, finding the number of solutions over the complex plane of a polynomial... is actually extremely easy.... Ready for the punch line? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Sorry, uber late response. When you have a polynomial, the number of complex roots it would have is simply the largest exponent :P

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

ohh,, is that what the question meant? :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the degree of your polynomial?
