What would be a good way to start off writing rap songs? I write poetry already, and can rhyme really well.

writing about your life and what you been through tell how you starting from the bottom and making your way up to the top/or God and how he helped you with your gift that you have with writing.

well good way to start it just have some music in the back ground and then on the bass you can start to rap. idk if you understand but thats my opinion. like alot of rappers talk in the begining of their song. for example Eminem. in the song "my name is" he starts by saying singing just they regular part of " my name is (what)my name is (who)...." and then hes like "ahem can i have tha attention of the class for one second?" he just talks and then goes into rapping .i hope this helps :)

Step 1 - Don't.

Step 2 - Invest your time in a genre that requires talent.

Step 3 - Bask in the enjoyment of your new found love and appreciation of good music.
