Gina drew a circle with right triangle PRQ inscribed in it as shown. If the measure of arc QR is 100 degrees, what is the measure of angle PQR?

I know that is answer is 40 degrees, I just don't know how to get there. . .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, for the question do you want an explanation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you know the answer how do you not know the steps?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because I took the assignment, and after taking it my teacher gave me the answer and told me if I could explain to her how to get that answer, she would give me half credit for it, and I need the credit.

I think you split 80 degrees evenly and you get 40 degrees but I am not 100% sure...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean you split 100 degrees evenly so therefore you answer is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

your*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah that's what I thought, cause I put my answer as 50 but you know I figured that I would make sure I'm not losing it lol thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because there is 80 degrees in the large triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you don't mind giving me best response...that would be great.

Thanks
