My mom is a patient of bipolar disorder. What are the chances that I'll also suffer from bipolar disorder and is there any possible precautions I can take to prevent it from happening ?

Because your mom has bipolar disorder, there is a chance that you will develop it too. I can't give you a probability though. There is no way to prevent bipolar disorder from settling in. But there are many ways to treat it. And if bipolar disorder ever does decide to walk into your life, there are ways to help yourself to be a little more ready for it. You could start out by eating a healthy and balanced diet. Daily exercise also helps. Many psychologists understand that exercise helps with all kinds of affective disorders, like depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You can make sure that you get enough sleep, most of every night. ~~~~~~~~ And here's the most important, and most difficult thing to do: If you ever DO feel bipolar disorder creeping in on you, don't keep it quiet. You can talk to someone who can help you with therapy, and drug treatment. Like a psychologist, or a psychiatrist.
