Tonya is at least 14 years old. Which inequality best represents the statement? Let x = Tonya's age. A) x < 14 B) x > 14 C) x < 14 D) x > 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be \[x \ge14\]

okay, thanks! c: for some reason D didn't copy correctly haha

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

To be at least a certain age means to be that age or higher. If Tonya is at least 14 years old, she can be 14, 15, 16, etc. She can't be 13, or 12 or less. Since she can be 14, the inequality symbol must include the equal sign. x >= 14
