The sum of two numbers is 148. The larger number is two less than three times the smaller. What are the two numbers?

Form equations according to given... x and y be the numbers...let y>x, accordingly, x+y = 148 and y= 3x-2 Solve simultaneous equations to get values of x and y :-)
