How can the mass of a sample of water be increased? Freezing the water will increase the mass. Boiling the water will increase the mass. Evaporating the water will increase the mass. Adding more water will increase the mass. @Mertsj

lol are you kidding me? xD Freezing won't change the mass. Boiling itself won't change the mass too but water will evaporate. Evaporating water will decrease the mass. Adding more water will make the water turn into a chicken.
