Just curious, why are you thinking of Industrial design after Chemistry?

I've always been interested in design and my bachelors in chemistry has given me a strong exposure to materials science. I think that blending product design with this background would allow me to be very creative. (In a nutshell)

You maybe better off going to a program in the California Colleges of Arts (SFO) or the Stanford D School.
