I have absolutely no idea on how to do this. I never asked the for answer I asked how do I do this? What steps do I take?
Decide what unknown numbers are asked for and what facts are known. Making a sketch may help.
just find the breadth using the formula of perimeter of the rectangle
Unknown numbers are the length and the width. Facts are that the perimeter of the rectangle is 280cm and the length is 20cm.
"The length is 20 cm more than the width"
perimeter=2(length+width)
length can't be greater than width
What I have right now is 2l + 2w = 280 and w=l+20
