how do you find the magnitude if the resultant force?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Since each force has an x and y component, the x component of the resultant force will be the sum of each x component of the forces. The y component of the resultant force will be the sum of each y component of the forces. When you have found both the x and y component of the resultant force, you can calculate its magnitude using the pythagorean theorem.
