Can anyone please explain how to solve and graph this inequality?
\[4y ^{2} \ge 36\]
This is what it looks like graphed. I use geogebra and its very helpful.
I can't seem to open the file :( can you explain please how to solve it... :(
Try opening this one.
Ok it opened... but how can I solve the equation? :(
Im not too good with this, but it could be x^2>=9
first, assuming this is a equation problem so u have 4y^2 = 36 simplied, by divide 4 from both sides, 4/4y^2 = 36/4 y^2 = 9 subtract by 9 from both sides, y^2 - 9 = 9 - 9 y^2 - 9 = 0 factor out, by using the difference squares formula : a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b) so, y^2 - 9 = 0 y^2 - 3^2 = 0 (y+3)(y-3) = 0 find the zeroes, make each factor be zero y+3=0 subtract by 3 to both sides, giving us y = -3 y-3=0 add by 3 to both sides, y = 3
it doesnt clear yet :)
remember, this is inequality probem not equation problem.|dw:1365693767310:dw| make a number line to skecth where were interval for x's
