When do you know you need your wisdom teeth taken out?
Normally your dentist will tell you when they need to come out. It is possible that you won't need them out unless you want them out. Reasons they take them out: not enough space, impacted, or they come up twisted
Thank you!
Totally agree, I had one wisdom tooth taken out by the dentist, only because of lack of space. Usually the gum around the tooth starts to inflame and that's the reason to take it out.
Well my tooth is getting to the point of where it feels like my gum is being pushed back and or cut. like the feeling when you cut your gum is the feeling i have right now.
It sounds like the wisdom tooth is just starting to come up then..you have to remember that you don't recall what it felt like when you were teething as a baby. If you are truly worried about it, I would make an appointment with a dentist, but don't be surprised if they just tell you to take some aspirin. Personally I would rather put up with having a "cut gum" feeling than having teeth pulled out (I have had 14 pulled + oral surgery = NOT FUN).
That doesnt even sound fun! But thank you!
Haha.. especially if your like me and have a true hatred for any type of dentist and scared of needles (ever seen how long Novocaine needles are? They're huge!) The worst part, is all that dental work was just so I could go into braces for three years, I haven't heard yet if I'll have to have my wisdoms surgically removed or not. Just another interesting tidbit..when you have your wisdom(s) removed, your face puffs up in the back and I've seen more people get dry-socket (its like an infection in the open gum hole.)
