Making the chat box optional. When I go to a subject, and people are just in chat, spamming and going wild, it will lag me, and slow me down, even if I don't have it open..

that is exactly what i was going to type...once you enter a section you permanently have the chatbox...for people who have lower connection limits lag terribly

This site is much too script-dependent. The whole thing is AJAX, loading stuff which is really hard for the browser.

And take this, some even loud at like one second intervals! Like it's so unnecessarily to have a script checking your smartscore every one second; just slows things down.

How did i not know AjAX was part of javascript. i have read javascripts so many times and fixed so many scripts, but it always seemed so much more complex than AJAX

As well as they need to remove some features like. [This person only accepts messages from members they fanned] i went to ask someone a questions who is offline or answering a question and i do not want to interrupt their answering but i cannot get ahold of said person.

@karama the 24/7 thing was abotu people not bothering to log off, but not wanting to be bothered so they make their message box only avaiable to people they fanned, i was trying to contact someone and i can't because i am not online when they get on and i cannot message said person. If you do not want to be bothered 24/7 LOG OFF!
