help plz if right i will give you a medal or a fan request ?
1. A triangle has vertices at S(1, 1), T(2, −3), and U(4, 0). The triangle is translated up 3 units. What are the coordinates of the vertices of the image? (1 point) A)S(4, 1), T(5, −3), and U(7, 0) B)S(1, 4), T(2, 0), and U(4, 3) C)S(1, 4), T(2, −3), and U(4, 0) D)S(1, −2), T(2, −6), and U(4, −3) 2. Point A is translated left 3 units and up 2 units. What rule describes this translation? (1 point) A)(x, y) (x + 3, y + 2) B)(x, y) (x – 3, y + 2) C)(x, y) (x + 3, y – 2) D)(x, y) (x – 3, y – 2) 3. Point M(4, 3) is translated according to the rule (x, y) (x + 2, y – 5). What are the coordinates of M’? (1 point) A)(2, −2) B)(6, 8) C)(2, 8) D) (6, −2)
1.B 2.B 3.D
which do you think are the right answers?

thanks anyways :)

Up 3 units..add 3 to the y-values.
(1, 1), (2, -3), (4, 0) (1, 1 + 3), (2, -3 + 3), (4, 0 + 3)
this is so confusing...
its up 2 units
so i add 2 to y?
I'm doing the first one..did you already do that one?
is it B?
Yep, B is correct for the first one.
i think #2 is B also because if you go left it is negative so you subtract and then up is positive so you add??? im i right?
Right = Add to the x-value Left = Subtract to the x-value Up = Add to the y-value Down n= Subtract to the y-value
Yep, B is correct.
YAY! im right!! :D what about the other one #3
(4, 3) (x + 2, y - 5) (4 + 2, 3 - 5) Simplify
ohh ok so its (6,-2)
thanks i got them all correct!! :D
