Help? :) This statement was one of the terms of the Potsdam Declaration in July 1945: "We call upon the government of Japan to proclaim now the unconditional surrender of all Japanese armed forces, and, to provide proper and adequate assurances of their good faith in such action. The alternative is prompt and utter destruction."

What does this statement indicate about the use of the atomic bomb in World War II? Japanese leaders wanted to surrender before the bomb was dropped. The leaders of Great Britain and the Soviet Union supported dropping the bomb. Great Britain and the Soviet Union had also developed atomic weapons. The Allies did not ask the Japanese government to surrender before dropping the bomb.

The Potsdam Declaration or the Proclamation Defining Terms for Japanese Surrender is a statement that called for the Surrender of the Empire of Japan during World War II. On July 26, 1945, United States President Harry S. Truman, United Kingdom Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Chairman of the Nationalist Government of China Chiang Kai-shek issued the document, which outlined the terms of surrender for the Empire of Japan as agreed upon at the Potsdam Conference. This ultimatum stated that, if Japan did not surrender, it would face "prompt and utter destruction" although the document did not make any mention of atomic weapons, I do believe the correct answer is C, Great Britain and the Soviet Union had also developed atomic weapons. If not the alternative would be B. Hoped I helped! Medal? (:
