Scientific laws are statements that have been proven, without a doubt, to be true. It is physically impossible to do anything that would break them, such as falling up, or creating a perpetual motion machine (a device that creates creates more energy than it uses or creates the same amount of energy as it uses). The most basic laws are Newton's laws.
