During a soccer scrimmage two opposing players are running towards the same ball. Keith is running at a rate of twenty four feet per second and is ten yars away from the ball. Tod is eight yards away, but running at a rate of twenty feet per second. Who gets to the ball first and how much time does it take him to get there? How far away is the other player? Keith: x=24t y=3 Todd: x=-20t+18(3) I know keith got the the ball first and got there is 1.23 seconds but I'm not sure how to far away the other player is

you put Keiths time in for t in Todd's x equation to get 29 then subtract the orginal distance. So 29-24=5 so Todd was 5ft away.
