A particle has: A.) an average acceleration of 6 m/s2 if it goes from 2 m/s to 6 m/s in 2 seconds. B.) an average acceleration of 4 m/s2 if it goes from 2 m/s to 6 m/s in 2 seconds. C.) an average acceleration of 12 m/s2 if it goes from 2 m/s to 6 m/s in 2 seconds. D.) an average acceleration of 3 m/s2 if it goes from 2 m/s to 6 m/s in 2 seconds. E.) an average acceleration of 2 m/s2 if it goes from 2 m/s to 6 m/s in 2 seconds.

Acceleration is the change in velocity over time. So if I start at 0m/s and 2 seconds later I am going at 6m/s my acceleration is 3m/s. Let me know if that doesn't make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummm not really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok well in your question the particle goes from 2 to 6 m/s right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And it does that in 2 seconds.
