OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it 2x+13 = 5x+ 1 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that what the probelm looks like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then its x= -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how u got that answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract 2x from each side so then you get 13=3x+1 to balance the equation you subtract one from each side so you get 12=3x and you have to flip it and change the signs so it it is the -3x =12 so then divide to balance out sides and you get x=-4
