Without graphing, determine whether the function y = 7 (2/3)^x represents exponential growth or exponential decay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

growth

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Eyeball problem. 2/3 < 1 so it is decay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so growth or decay?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope it's decay i agree with @tkhunny

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep I agree, my bad

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks everyone :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry one more actually...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Without graphing, determine whether the function y = 7(0.28)^x represents exponential growth or exponential decay.

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

0.28 < 1 -- You tell us.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

decay as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If the number being raised to x is something between 0&1 then it's decay .. So yeah decay as well
