How to find the derivative of (1+5e^-10x)^4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

power rule bring the 4 down then -1, leave inside alone then take derivative of inside

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did that. I got 4(1+5e^-10x)^3(5e^-10x x -10 ) I don't know how to simplify it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the (5e^-10xx-10) is wrong it should be -50e^-10x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there are not two x, the second x is showing it multiplied by -10, I didn't apply it to the derivative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, i'm good with it now. thx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are right then :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just having a hard time recognizing how to solve it since I just learned how to do a day ago. Thank yo so much
