(x + 6) (x-4) How do I multiply this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what u have to do in this question is multiply every variable on one bracket with another. so for this equation what u do is first times x with x and then with -4 and then u multiply 6 with x and -4 so the answer will be \[x ^{2}-4x+6x-24\] which can be simplified to \[x ^{2}+2x-24\]
