A model is made of a car. The car is 8 feet long and the model is 10 inches long. What is the ratio of the length of the car to the length of the model?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well I would think the first step is to get both numbers with the right label. So how many inches are in a foot?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12in.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

48:5 10:8 5:48 8:10 This are my choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct, and you have 8 feet, so take \[12\times8= ? inches\]

Okay except I'm not going to just outright tell you the answer..I want you to know how I did it so you can maybe do it on your own next time :)
