The equation of a circle is shown below. (x + 5)2 + (y + 6)2 = 16 Martha uses the following steps to sketch a graph of the circle. 1. Draw a circle through the plot points (-1, -6), (-9, -6), (-5, -2), and (-5, -10). 2. Obtain the center (-5, -6) and radius 4. 3. Write the equation in the form (x - (-5))2 + (y – (-6)2) = 42. 4. Mark the point (-5, -6) on the coordinate axis. 5. Calculate and plot the points around the center using given radius 4. What is the correct order of steps to sketch the circle? 2, 1, 3, 5, 4 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 3, 2, 4, 5, 1 4, 2, 5, 1, 3

This is a circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it's the last one!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats what I was thinking but was not quit sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to draw a circle, in general first- determine the center point 2nd- determine the radius 3rd- plot the center point 4th- plot four points using the radius, up down left right 5th- connect the radius dots with a curve 6th- something 8th- yay circle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so according to @completeidiot I think we are right @RICARDOismyfirstname

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome! thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3 should be the first step

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in order to determine the center point and radius, you would first need to convert into that form you wouldnt start with 4 first because you cant assume where the center point is and 2 would definitely come before 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

trueeeeee!!!! @RICARDOismyfirstname listen to @completeidiot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not being mean or anything. And I am going to listen to a @completeidiot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and thus without looking at the multiple choice answers, the order should be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be 32451

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that would be my answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Awesome! thank you so much
