how do you make a t-table for y = x2 + 4x + 1

OpenStudy (jim766):

take each of the x's below and substitute into the equation and find out what y is, then write next to the corresponding x x y -2 -1 0 1 2

OpenStudy (jim766):

(-2)2 + 4(2) + 1 = -3 x y -2 3

OpenStudy (jim766):

then just keep going

OpenStudy (jim766):

if you have a graphing calculator, you can enter it into Y= and look at the table, 2nd graph

OpenStudy (jim766):

make sense?
