Just a suggestion for Ambies and all members who are welcoming new users. When a new user asks a question, its always nice to say "Welcome to OpenStudy". However I don't think its polite to write a 200-300 word welcome, detailing every asset of OS, only to leave the person "hanging". Instead of encouraging them to continue using the site, it seems like we scare them. Another thing I see, and I admit to have done at times, is interrupting the student & teacher while they are posting. Once again, nothing wrong with saying "Welcome to OS". Perhaps a slightly briefer welcome and choosing the moment more wisely. (:

we have discussed this already :)

i think it's good to have a reminder of this, bc/not everyone is as experienced and we have new ambis, etc. so anyway, it's a good point jazy. thanks for your ideas.
