Can someone please explain the properties of a kite? How do you know which diagonal is the bisector or which angles are congruent? In Quadrilaterals how can u tell if something is a square rhombus or rectangle ? Thanks !

Parth (parthkohli):

Is this for homework? I can help you on this one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not homework , I'm trying to study for a test and I don't understand this ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And Thanks !

Parth (parthkohli):

OK. So a kite is a quadrilateral with ADJACENT SIDES equal. It also has the angle generated by two diagonals 90 degrees.|dw:1365871274323:dw|

Parth (parthkohli):

The diagonals bisect each other if you have a parallelogram.

Parth (parthkohli):

The difference between a square and a rhombus is that a square is a "perfect" rhombus, where all the interior angles are 90 degrees. A rhombus has all sides equal but not necessarily all angles equal.

Parth (parthkohli):

@SabinaL Are you following me?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes but I'm still confused about the kite a little

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Doesn't a kite have like " half properties " ? I don't really understand those

OpenStudy (mertsj):

In relation to the picture Parth has drawn, the right and left halves are congruent.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Which means that the diagonals bisect the angles.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you know which diagonal is the bisector
