how might an increase in the use of insecticides affect flowering plant populations in the area?
Use of insecticides will prevent pollination between plants because insects are a huge source of pollination. In essence, only the few species of plants that can self pollinate will be able to, thereby leading to the death of many plants. While as wind can spread posllen, it is not as good of a pollinator as insects
they could stunt the growth for one and two, if insects like bees don't pollinate from that flower, the number of the flowers will dwindle along with the variety of flowers and the other insect populations will decrease if they depend on those flowers for food
and that will blow te whole ecosystem of the park or where ever the flowers are
Hi, Insecticides are very harmful because they are chemical substances which not only harm plants but also human life if the plant is consumed. in this case, flowering plants may survive if the insecticide is less toxic or else it would eventually die. Thanks, Abantika
Using Insecticides kills harmful Insects(for crop) as well as Useful Insects (Butterfly,Moth,Bee etc).Butterfly,Moth,Bee etc plays important role in Pollination. If Pollination not Occur then the plant population start decreasing. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- We have to use more and more Bio insecticides methods
