OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

The definition of a function can be stated as some formula that has unique inputs, the domain, and gives outputs, the range. So as long as there are no repated x values in the domain, it is a function. If it is a function, then the range is the y values.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

However, be careful. They did put one tricky thing here. When listing the set of ranges, you do not repeat ouput y values.
