OpenStudy (nincompoop):

meiosis occurs in germ cells

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here are my choices : A. one round of DNA replication followed by one round of cell division B. one round of DNA replication followed by two rounds of cell division C. two rounds of DNA replication followed by one round of cell division D. two rounds of DNA replication followed by two rounds of cell division

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

or "gametes"

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

oh you have choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya for some reason it didn't post it too with the questions

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

for every cell cycle, there occurs only 1 dna replication. so go ahead and take out the choices that does not fit this description

http://images.tutorvista.com/content/cell-reproduction/meiosis-and-mitosis-comparison.gif Look at the LEFT hand side. Meiosis. The DNA replicates only one time. The cell splits in two. And then each of those two cells splits in two AGAIN.

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

there is your answer right there... laughing out loud now it would help if you really read on mitosis and meiosis and be able to determine their difference. this knowledge is essential specially when you start touching up a little bit on genetics

ok thanks yall!!
