What do you think the minimum value of this function is? And what about the maximum value?
-4 and 4?
No. Let's start with what the maximum and minimum value of \(y = sin(x)\) are?
if u know the range of sinx u can do it easily
-1 ≤ y ≤ 1

now multiply with 2 on all sides. wat do u get ??
dont use "y". use sinx itself since "y" is already there in the question
-2 ≤ y ≤ 2
dont forget y = sinx here . now add 1 on all sides
range is 1-<=y<=3
