So now that i know the slope is 2/3, how can i tell if anything is parallel to line AB? And then how can i tell what is perpendicular to line AB

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A(-2,0). B(4,4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope is 2/3.

OpenStudy (espex):

Any line with an equal slope will be parallel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so the that answer is 2/3. How can i tell what is perpendicular?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know now, its -3/2

OpenStudy (espex):

Right, if a line has a slope that is the negative inverse of the slope of your line, then it is perpendicular to your line.
