Lets plug in the values....(3,-6) x + 3y = 15 3 + 3(-6) = 15 3 - 18 = 15 -15 = 15 (not correct) And the other equation....(3,-6) 4x + y = 6 4(3) + (-6) = 6 12 - 6 = 6 (correct) It is not a solution. Because the first equation does not equal.
