For this assessment, you will create ten tweets from the trenches in World War I. Use the Ten Tweets from the Trenches to get started. As you create your tweets, be sure to put yourself in the shoes of a young solider camped out in a trench on the Western front. You may choose what side you wish to represent. What do you want to share with the world? Each tweet must be a minimum of 100 characters and is limited to a maximum of 140 characters. Here are some questions to consider: What nation are you fighting for? Why did you decide to fight for your nation? Was fighting in the war what you expected? Are you able to effectively fight against your enemy? Why or why not? What have you seen, heard, and smelled in the trenches? What do you know about the enemy? What are your goals if you make it out alive? How are you passing the time? What would you like to tell your family or the citizens of the nation that you are fighting for?

I'm not doing your homework for you. I WILL however give you some tips and hints. WW1 was mainly fought in Trenches, imagine yourself in a trench, surrounded by mud, COVERED up to your ankles in mud, athletes foot and trenchfoot were common in that war. Plus you need to factor that you are most likely thirsty and hungry as well, probably had barely any sleep. Imagine all those things PLUS the smell of gunpowder and the smell of rotting flesh (bodies mangled up in barbed wire long dead but not being able to be removed due to the constant machine gun sentries). That entire was was absolutely pointless and basically ended with Germany (who didn't even really) turned into a poverty stricken nation THUS setting the stage for WW2. I think you can mold 10 tweets out of that, dontcha think?
