Sax (2004) reported that man loses about 20% of verbal IQ, when his left hemisphere was damaged. However, no language ability drop was noticed when the right hemisphere was damaged. Situation for women were different, results showed 9% verbal IQ decrease when the left hemisphere was damaged and 11% when the right hemisphere was damaged (ibid).
