what will be the height of a cylinder of gold that has a circular cross section of 43cm^2 and a mass of 20.2kg?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, so density of gold is 19.3 g/cm^3. We know the mass is 20002 GRAMS. So we divide the mass by density and get 1036.37, which is the volume The volume of a cylinder is its height*cross section area, which means the height will be 1036.37/43, which gives me about 24.1 cm. Hope that helps :)
