How does a high-mass star differ from a low-mass star as both enter the final stages of their life cycle?

The difference is that according to Chandrashekhar Limit, if the start has the mass more than 1.4 times mass of the sun, it'll blast into supernova and will eventually make a black hole but if it has less mass than that, it'll be convert into a a white dwarf and will eventually die.
