Explain how to graph the equation y= -3x+2 using the slope and the y-intercept. Be sure to use complete sentences in your description.

Is this correct: To graph this equation you have to make an x, y table. The table contains numbers you want to be plotted on the graph such as -1, 0, 1, 2, etc. You take the numbers you choose to put as x’s and plug them one by one into the equation. After you have gotten the y answers you can now plot them on the graph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 is y intercept, that means the function "cut" y axis at 2. .when y =0, x = 2/3 so just link those points . get the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

depend on the function, if the function is just a line, all you need is 2 points, as above, link those points and you have the graph

OK, I get it now. Thanks

in other case, YES, you must construct the table respect to x and y , give x many values and count the value of y respect to each of value of x. then plot it into the graph, link them, done
