Strokes and heart attacks have one thing in common: they happen when our organs don't get enough oxygen. Our blood carries oxygen for us. It takes that oxygen all over our bodies. When not enough blood can get to our brain, we have a stroke. When not enough blood can get to our heart, we have a heart attack.
The lack of oxygen leads to quick cell death in both organs.
