HELP. who can explain to me how theoretical and experimental probability work? dont get it..

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

if you flip a coin, the theoretical probability of flipping heads is 1/2 if you do it 100 times, then you should theoretically get 50 heads and 50 tails

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

but life isn't perfect, and you might get 60 heads and 40 tails so this shows how experimental probability is slightly off of what theoretical probability is

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!! thank you!

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

ok great, yw
