For the simple harmonic motion equation d=5 sin(2 pi t) , what is the maximum displacement from the equilibrium position?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well isn't that 5... the general form is y = asin(bx) a = amplitude and 2pi/b = period... so a = 5...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sin term can take maximum value of 1 so maximum value of d is 5, that is the maximum displacement from equilibrium position
