I don't get how geothermal energy can be turned to energy

geothermal mean heat generated by the earth right!!
In earth up to certain depth they dig where the temperature is too hot compared to the surface temperature of earth and they transfer water or some liquid into that
due to heat it will vaporize with pressure and which will turn the turbine like steam engine it works!!!this is one but some other methods are also there
