Pressure difference question: Calculate the difference in pressure that the blood vessels in a giraffe's head have to accomodate as the head is lowered from a full upright position to ground level. The height of an average giraffe is about 6m.

Why are they dividing each side of the equation my the atmospheric pressure?

He has changed the units from "pascals" to "atm" .

So if I wanted to calculate the answer in Pascals, I wouldn't do this?

No ,you may leave it in pascals. But still confirm it from someone else also ,just in case i am wrong.
