About 40 have died near pakistan border in Iran. Also about 7 people died in India , as per 2 hours ago news headlines I read.

OpenStudy (bostonblue):

glad you are all ok! earthquakes arescary. i was in one in seattle several years back in a tall building and i was terrified. it was the biggest one they'd had in a long time, but bc/of the type of depth, it did not cause too much damage. but i was afraid to go down below the building into the parking garage to get my car. literally took a taxi home and went to get my car two days later after the aftershocks were over.

mathslover (mathslover):

Thank you boston, and thanks god!

OpenStudy (bostonblue):

low death toll for such a big quake. but still so sad for those affected. . .

OpenStudy (bostonblue):

the news said 7.8 magnitude in iran.

mathslover (mathslover):

Yes, from IRAN To India and to other countries, the richter scale decreases.

mathslover (mathslover):

Magnitude : 5.1 in some parts of India.
