What is the best reason for citizens to serve when selected for jury duty? They owe their fellow citizens a fair trial by jury. They can avoid having to go to work during the time they serve. They are legally required to serve on a jury at least once. They will get paid for the time that they are absent from work. “All governments rule only with the consent of the people they govern.” The Founding Fathers could use this quote to justify their cause because they had no direct representation in Parliament disliked King George III lost the election when they ran for Parliament disliked their representatives in Parliament --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
