how to solve -x + 3 > 7?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-x + 3 > 7 -3 > -3 ----------- -x > 4 divide by -1 because we cannot have a negative X x < 4 because the sign switches when you divide by a negative so final answer is x < 4
